Dr Haifa Tlili research (Paris Descartes University – Sorbonne, 2008) is centred on a comparative analysis of bodily and movement issues among women of Arabic-Muslim culture involved in departments of sport and physical education in France and Tunisia. From 2009 to 2012, she conducted research with Pr. Geneviève Rail (Simone de Beauvoir Institute, Concordia University, Montreal) on a project focusing on Quebecois Maghrebi women’s bodily/health discourses. She applied feminist poststructuralist and postcolonial approaches that created a space for women’s voices. Dr Tlili continues to apply a methodological framework in France, in different action researches in order to co-construct recommendations with/by/for different discriminated populations. Since 2019, she has provided platforms for the voices of French hijabi women to be heard. These women want to practice sports like everybody. In 2020, she launched the campaign for/with/by hijabi women and their right to play football in France.
