Rimla is former captain of the British Muslim Women’s Futsal Team and an internationally acclaimed leader and advisor in sport. Rimla successfully fought to overturn the bans on the hijab at FIFA and FIBA and is continuing her work to ensure accessibility in sport for all. She is the first Muslim woman on the English FA Council and holds a number of other positions, including on the Boards of Kick It Out, Sports Ground Safety Authority, Muslim Women’s Sport Foundation and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
