Sally is an eighteen-year-old Australian track and field athlete of Muslim faith who has a positive influence on others through her leadership capacity. She has represented Australia on two occasions- the Melanesian Championships where she was a gold medalist and the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Argentina where she finished 10th overall. She travelled as a highly valued member of these teams where she was supportive, encouraging and inclusive of all team members. Sally is a multiple national medalist and at 16 years old became the 2019 NSW Open age champion and is the current ACT open discus and U20 shot put champion. Sally also become the 2020 NSW Open women’s discus champion. Sally was selected as NSW team captain in 2019, leading the team which become national champions.
