Sara is an Iranian women’s rights activist for over 15 years. She has worked to promote women’s rights in education, sports and women’s leadership. She has worked to ensure women’s access to sports stadiums. The stadium’s campaign works by engaging young Iranian women and international officials, including FIFA, to advocate for the lifting of the ban on women to enter sports stadiums in Iran. In 2019, due to her efforts, Azadi stadium opened its doors to allow women to watch their first International match with tickets after the 1979 revolution.
